[In the TV shows she watched as a kid, magic tattoos were usually... brainwashing and evil things. (Thanks power rangers!) So she's a little worried.]

That man, Adlet. He has an identical tattoo on the back of one of his hands - and we showed them to each other to tell each other we were both "Braves." Actually, so did Goldov, I think...

[ She bites her lip, leaning back now so she's less explicitly showing off her chest, but she doesn't fix up her coat or blouse so that's still on display. There's a part of that name she's forgetting. ]

... Do you know if she or him got to choose the locations of these tattoos?

[suddenly her ears are lowering...]

[ And in that moment, Natalia's eyes glaze over as a memory comes upon her. She seems to be in another world for a moment, and her hands (both of them) reach up towards her chest and the mark again. And out loud she mutters, with a surprised gasp which doesn't suit the situation she's in with Cleo but does suit the memory replaying in her head: ]

[ ... But then righting herself, she blinks twice and lowers her hands, looking sheepish. ... Wait, that tone - and it's the Crest of Six Flowers... that's- ]

... I know where all the crests-- ah. Tattoos were.

Isn't hat how it always is?

[ Inhale, exhale... and she puts a smile back on her face, wide and amused. She's had this sort of thing happen to her three times now, now she thinks of it. And she counts off on her fingers, even as she starts to button up her blouse again, ]

Mine's on my chest, Adlet's is on his right hand, Goldov's is on his right shoulder. And then I don't know their names but a white haired girl had it on her left hand, a young girl had it on her right thigh, a shady looking man had it on his chest, but on his left side, over his heart. And then finally this powerful looking woman had it on her back.

I believe so, yes.

[ ... ] All Braves, that is.

[ Braves with a Mark of Six Flowers. Braves of Six Flowers? And there's... seven. She was surprised sounding in the memory and Maura questioned - ... Mmm. ]

[She tilts her head, thinking.]

Braves...? Is that what the tattoo means?

Yes. I don't know what Braves are, really, but I know now that the tattoo's a crest that marks someone as Brave.

[ . . . Better not to mention the seven of six thing until she knows what it is. ]

cleo's a power ranger's fan. she will literally just tell you it makes one of you an extra hero and it's fine. ain't nothing wrong with sixth (or seventh) rangers!]

I assume it has to do with your powers?

Maybe? I don't know if Adlet has any powers and I'm not sure how Goldov fights at all... Or any of the others. I assume the younger one must though, because she only looks maybe thirteen or fourteen?

[ If she doesn't have a power, how could she do anything. She tilts her head... Oh, wait. ]

The shady man looked like a cat.

[ She said.

To the cat. ]

A child, fighting...?

[she. does not like that. but that gets her attention...]

The other you seemed to have different ears, as well.

Oh yes, the rabbit ears, right?

[ . . . which she knows are a hairpiece but...

No reason she needs to tell Cleo that yet. She sticks out her tongue a little. A rabbit-girl? Bunny girl. ]

A shame my costume didn't match, huh?

Did it not? Your bracers seemed to...

[She thinks it's cute, ok.]

And, in another sense, it certainly seemed to.

[ Oh, well...

... Her lead in didn't work, but the cart they're on mercifully is coming to a stop. Are they at Grand Central Station or just some random spot? Who even knows, but for her part she looks skeptical and... ]

[As the train squeals to a stop, Cleo has to fold her ears down, because train brakes suck when you have super-hearing.

... He had a tail and maybe claws and I think he had cat ears?

She stares back, a little dully. And then finally, she says as he motions towards the train door they came in ]

I'm flattered.

[For some reason, the cat thing doesn't sting as much coming from Natalia. Maybe it's because (Cleo believes) she's got the same thing coming up. Or maybe it's because Natalia's just friendlier about it, rather than judgmental.

She follows Natalia out, but her hand is on her sword hilt the whole time.]
