Hm. Well, if things go for you the way they have for other people, you probably will learn to do that eventually.

[In demonstration, as if mimicing the Eleanor that had appeared on the screen earlier, she gestured with her left hand, and one of the trumpets from the pile of musical instruments floated up and darted over to her hand.]

It did for me.

[She said with a little grin. Yeah, showing off.]
notyourutopian: (A moment of peace.)

Yeah. I kind of love it.

[Eleanor adored her TK. She used it all the time. So bad at hiding it. She was about to ask when she frowns.]

...Did you hear that?

[The extra clapping.]

I was a bit distracted then.

[Hm.]

So it's like an audience almost..
notyourutopian: (No that's stupid.)

Or just something programmed into the car, but I don't know. Ghosts make as much sense as anything at this point.

[Eleanor has frustratingly conceded that ghosts exist. Since she's met several. And commanded an army of them. And was nearly killed by one.]
notyourutopian: (I see you)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-01-28 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Aren't you an optimistic one.

[Eleanor smiled, still looking ahead and-]

Oh, I see a light! Maybe we're arriving.
notyourutopian: (Come at me bro.)

[Eleanor steps back as the train pulls out into the...large station? Almost like a hub wasn't it. Hm.]

...I can't say I was expecting that.

[She commented, even as she immediately headed for the door.]
notyourutopian: (Reaching Out)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-01-31 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, a central hub. But what do mysterious ancient trains that don't normally run even need with one...

[She stepped off the train, out into the platform.]

...And a bunch of shops?
notyourutopian: Do not take! (Oh this is pretty nice.)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-01-31 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's possible.

[Eleanor sighed as she walked towards one of the stores, peering inside.]

But for all we know, none of this was even here a week ago.
notyourutopian: Do not take! (Just moving along.)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-02-04 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
It does, but...it's just as weird as thinking they somehow...preserved it for however many decades it's been down here.

[Eleanor hesitated, looking into the store.]

Some of this stuff is older than my mom.
notyourutopian: Do not take! (Just moving along.)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-02-06 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...But it looks new, too. [Nothing about this place made sense, which drove her nuts.]

If this is going to start involving other worlds and other times, I think I may just quit the whole damn idea.

[Not that she could. Or would. But still.]
notyourutopian: (Reaching Out)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-02-07 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. Yeah they are. Time isn't a place. It's a...I don't know. A concept? Just because it's a different year in two different worlds doesn't mean they aren't in the same 'time', because they could have started counting at different points. Or use completely different calendars.

[Eleanor was not great with temporal mechanics.]
notyourutopian: Do not take! (Distant and considering.)

[personal profile] notyourutopian 2018-02-07 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure, it absolutely could. But that doesn't mean they're in our 'past' you know?

[She was pretty sure that made sense, honestly.]

It was the 1950s there, I think. Or the 60s. I haven't found a date yet.
