It's...something of a trade-off, isn't it? The other Eleanor, she was...broken. As a child. Taken and changed and turned into a little monster.

Her mother rescued and saved her and...did what she could to fix her. She could have only done that because of how much she knew.

It all got twisted later on, but...[Eleanor shrugs.]

I suppose I don't know anything of the context.

[ One way or the other, honestly. Natalia glances at the static screen and around the cart. Maybe it'll be an even exchange. One of hers will come on any moment now. But Natalia frowns at the idea of that being a trade-off. She wants to say thats still not even, but how is she to say it? Eleanor's suffered more in those memories of the Other Eleanor than she had. Natalia has just remembered being terrible herself. ... She... thinks. ]

[Eleanor hasn't really told anyone specifics. Vague complaints, a few details here and there but...some things are hard to share in their entirety.]

Do you think we're getting where we're going? Or they going to make us watch something else?

[ Probably, she can't help but admit to herself. But all the same, ]

There's static, so I imagine there will be more to see. Where would we even go though, to a central station?

I don't know. Last time I was in a strange tunnel in the city it came out in this ancient stone dungeon kind of place.

[Though she didn't think this would work out the same. She moved away from the monitor then, looking out the windows.]

Do subways have central stations?

In a city this large... probably? Maybe?

[ She thinks there was when she looked up stuff about New Work for visiting Elliot? But then she never did and... well, whatever.

... Stone dungeon? I mean, it's funny you should say that, because the memory that starts to play on the TV happens to involve a prison, at least* - and when Natalia hears her own voice saying she's in a hurry she...

* - The memory is from 16:08 up until 17:35. However, it does censor her name, as in the audio sort of fades out when she says her name and just goes on to "crown princess of Piena" - but everything else is there. ]

I haven't any idea. I don't remember one in London, but it's been forever...

[She turned back at the sound of the screen starting back up, walking over curiously...oh, not one of her memories. Okay. Mostly okay? She looked at Natalia, then back at the screen. Well huh.]

[That was certainly a trick.]

...Can you do that here? The...glowing knife thing?

[ It seems to be okay! Natalia at least looks more amused than anything to see this memory in third person. Seeing it when she's not conducting the swords, honestly, the precision is amazing to shatter the whole cage but keep one part of it in place that she could stand on? But she shakes her head ]

Hm. Well, if things go for you the way they have for other people, you probably will learn to do that eventually.

[In demonstration, as if mimicing the Eleanor that had appeared on the screen earlier, she gestured with her left hand, and one of the trumpets from the pile of musical instruments floated up and darted over to her hand.]

[She said with a little grin. Yeah, showing off.]

[ Ooooh, she claps at that, even as there is some other clapping from theor ghost friends because apparently that whole scene with Adlet and her going to the horses merited that.

Of course Natalia's clap is light. Can't make too much sound with one of them being prosthetic. It's clearly not ironic though!

That's a really useful looking power! But it might, it's true!

Yeah. I kind of love it.

[Eleanor adored her TK. She used it all the time. So bad at hiding it. She was about to ask when she frowns.]

[The extra clapping.]

Do you mean the commentary on the video...? [ the clapping ] I think there was some for your video too.

[ But yeah, loving it? For an ability like that, she could get how someone would be hooked. She's actually a little bit curious about if she'd use it... probably? Yeah, probably. ]

So it's like an audience almost..

[ I mean, ghost audience??? is that??? possible??? ]

Or just something programmed into the car, but I don't know. Ghosts make as much sense as anything at this point.

[Eleanor has frustratingly conceded that ghosts exist. Since she's met several. And commanded an army of them. And was nearly killed by one.]

Oh, I see a light! Maybe we're arriving.

[ She tries to be. I mean, she's not... not necessarily, but it's something she tries to show to world, even if it is tinged with some sarcasm. The upbeat woman does glance at the window though and.. yeah, there's a light, they're definitely getting to - wherever this is. Probably another station, or maybe ...? ]

I see it too!

[Eleanor steps back as the train pulls out into the...large station? Almost like a hub wasn't it. Hm.]

...I can't say I was expecting that.

[She commented, even as she immediately headed for the door.]

I guess all the trains needed to go somewhere? Still, for it to be at the end of the line like this... I wonder where we are in the city?

[ Like what's above them?

She's following along, her flashlight firmly in her left hand as they go!! ]

Yeah, a central hub. But what do mysterious ancient trains that don't normally run even need with one...

[She stepped off the train, out into the platform.]

...And a bunch of shops?

I guess we'd assume it was open once! After all, even if it's been repaired as long as I've been here, that does mean it ran once... probably.

[ But hey, shopping spree. ]

It's possible.

[Eleanor sighed as she walked towards one of the stores, peering inside.]

But for all we know, none of this was even here a week ago.

[ . . . That's a weird thought, that's such a weird thought. But she does have to concede the possibility, based on some things other people have told her Retrospec can and has done. For her part, she's also glancing in the stories. A lot of them are dated, but there's some interesting stuff here. Honestly, she'd love to pick out some items and maybe take them back with her.

... God, back. How do we even get back from here. ]

It sounds odd to just set up some abandoned places like that.

It does, but...it's just as weird as thinking they somehow...preserved it for however many decades it's been down here.

[Eleanor hesitated, looking into the store.]

Some of this stuff is older than my mom.
